The tour takes in what is left from the old MGM backlot, most of which was sold off. 1 Tudor City Place is the exterior of the Osborns’ New York apartment; the interior was shot at Greystone Mansion, a Beverly Hills villa used for filming. Successful, Spider-Man then heads off to the apartment of Mary Jane Watson, hoping for a place to sleep. When an alert comes through showing that her story about Jefferson Davis just got published, he decides to go elsewhere, thinking she must be busy with work. Upon finding out that he is evicted, Parker has no choice but to call sanitation to figure out where the dump truck is so he can recover his possessions.

That's especially true whenever Ennis delves into the grim and gritty world of Marvel's MAX imprint. Get Fury brings together Nick Fury and Frank Castle, arguably the two characters on which Ennis has left his greatest mark. In this Vietnam War-era story, Fury is captured by the enemy, leaving the military to dispatch Frank to bring him back by any means necessary. We're getting strong Apocalypse Now vibes from this book, which can only be a good thing.

Blood Hunt
Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius, also known as Doctor Octopus, has his laboratory in this building, which in reality houses the Anthology Film Archive. The famous Flatiron Building is the exterior of the offices of the Daily Bugle, a New York tabloid for which Peter takes pictures of his alter ego. A field trip to Columbia University for Peter Parker’s class; on the steps of the university, Peter meets Norman Osborn, father of his friend Harry.

After constructing the Bomb, a new fight enables players to use it for the first time. Back to Queens, as Parker, after discovering his secret powers, runs off down Austin Street at the junction with Ascan Avenue in Forest Hills. The interiors were filmed in Dorsey High School, 3575 Farmdale Avenue, at Rodeo Road, West Adams, midtown. It’s a five mile (8km) walk northwest to 44th Street in Woodside, along which Peter runs for the school bus, toward Queens Boulevard, so you could excuse him being a little late.
Follow in his footsteps with the New York guide to the 1000 cult places of films, series, music, comics and novels. But the real news is that ASM #50 features the return of the Green Goblin. For years now, Norman Osborn has tried to prove that he's reformed and can be a crucial ally to Peter Parker rather than his worst nightmare. That all seems to be at an end, as Osborn becomes consumed by his sins once again. But is this simply a return to the status quo for Osborn, or do Zeb Wells and Ed McGuinness have another big twist in store?
Most of Marvel's Avengers and Spider-Man-adjacent books will tie into the event, and several new limited series will also launch aside the main book. Spider-Man tries to stop Rhino from destroying downtown, but gets attacked by angry mutant pedestrians. Rhino escapes and meets the Green Goblin, who he tells to meet him behind Parker's house tonight. As soon as Green Goblin arrives, he sees that Ox, Vulture, and Electro are there as well, and they all attack the Green Goblin.

We're immediately on board for any new project from Rick Remender, but this one looks especially intriguing. Grommets pairs Remender with comedian Brian Posehn and Tank Girl artist Brett Parson for a limited series steeped in 1980's skateboard culture and punk rock. The series is both a throwback to that bygone era and a timeless story of two Gen-X outcasts who find a new home in this scene. The mission consists of Spider-Man swinging through the city and checking out various locations, the first of which is the sanitation department. For the next location, two trucks are investigated near West Chinatown, before the final location, the incinerator.
Read on to see all the biggest comics of May 2024, and be sure to let us know in the comments what you'll be reading this month. Once the mission ends, swing to Mary Jane's apartment to end the mission. Upon arriving at the final location, thugs are already in the area, which must be dealt with. Dig through the trash after the worker gives permission, and upon finding a USB, the Web Bomb is then unlocked. Norman Osborn’s Gothic Manhattan mansion block is Tudor City, East 40th to East 43rd Street between First and Second Avenues, overlooking the East River, midtown. The complex is also the site of the attempted bomb attack in Brian de Palma’s Scarface, home to Tom Hanks in Ron Howard’s Splash!
DC just celebrated the 300th issue of Nightwing, and now they're speeding straight ahead into one of the most important chapters of Dick Grayson's costumed career. This issue kicks off "Fallen Grayson," a story arc that explores what happens when Dick loses his ability to leap. This is the climax of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo's excellent run, so it's definitely a bittersweet moment for fans of what has easily been one of the best superhero comics on the stands. In the House of M universe, Spider-Man is famous for being an actor, super-hero, wrestler, and businessman.
Expect some major heroes to be turned to the undead as this massive war unfolds. It is revealed that Peter has been having recurring nightmares of horrifying events that Spider-Man faced in the true Marvel Universe, including the deaths of Ben, George, and Gwen. Thinking him insane, his family believes that Peter may have subconsciously created his Green Goblin persona to force the truth of his non-mutant origins to come out. After the news breaks, a mutant boy is beaten half to death for wearing a Spider-Man shirt. Peter visits the boy at the hospital, where he meets a mutant security guard who expresses respect for Spider-Man. Wide shots show New York’s real Times Square, but most of the Green Goblin’s deadly attack on the 'World Unity Parade' was filmed on a set built at the old Rockwell Defense Plant, Bellflower and Imperial Highway in Downey, California.
May is quickly shaping up to be one of the biggest months for new comic book releases in a long time. Marvel alone is going all-out this month, kicking off the massive Blood Hunt crossover and celebrating the milestone 50th issue of The Amazing Spider-Man with the return of Spidey's greatest nemesis. Elsewhere, DC has big stories planned for two of Batman's most important sidekicks, while Image is launching several promising new projects like The Whisper Queen and Grommets.
Superhero deconstruction stories are nothing new in comics, but it's not often that we see them directed at the bombastic, gritty heroes of the '90s comic book explosion. This new series focuses on a team of former superhero celebrities who flamed out after the '90s, leaving a new generation to try and take up the mantle in 2024. We're expecting a book that both pays loving tribute to the '90s and skewers the more over-the-top aspects of the era, and it should be loads of fun.
It's hard to go wrong with a creative pairing like writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Kris Anka, and we're big fans of their work on The White Trees. At long last, the two are reuniting for a new story set in the Blacksand fantasy universe. In The Whisper Queen, a former assassin named Javro must hunt down the king's killers before her son is murdered by a ghostly threat known as the Dark Whisper. Blood Hunt will unfold in the pages of the core miniseries by Jed MacKay and Pepe Larraz, but expect a lot of tie-ins to accompany that book.
